August 17 was such a busy harvest, we didn’t get a chance to take any photos. We brought in 87.2 pounds of cucumbers, beans, eggplant, celery, beets, zucchini, banana peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions, and donated them to Salvation Army.
It was good, but it wasn’t totally documented.
Since Sheila Renner wasn’t able to join us over lunch, she went out to the garden in the evening. She harvested 23 more pounds of cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, and beans, and donated them to Salvation Army as well. She also “gave the tomatoes a haircut,” which was sorely needed.
Cheers to garden volunteers, and their tenacity and drive!
